Thinking can get you in trouble, or it can lead you into bliss. Our thoughts can be obsessed with trivialities or heavy laden with goodness and truth. Each of us have the ability to think for ourselves, and we should not relinquish that capacity to others. Co-think with God, and you will never run out of delicious, heaven-prepared food for thought. The enemy of our soul tries to convince us we are not qualified to do our own thinking. After all, there are experts on every subject, and they are still learning something new every day. Feeling like we are not “experts” on anything, we may avoid thinking about things that significantly affect our lives. Reclaim your ability to think for yourself. The Holy Spirit is the best thinking partner. He knows the Father. He knows you. And—well—He knows everything. Another benefit, not to be overlooked, is His constant presence in us. Part of the mysterious joy of co-thinking with Him is how seamlessly we think together. When this divine synthesis of thinking is flowing at a high level, we it is hard to discern we begin, and He leaves off. He remains He, and we remain we, yet we are one. This degree of divine participation is exhilarating. Our society has become like a spacious field of silos; each containing knowledge held separately from the rest. As a result, we lack a healthy integration of knowledge across many topics. Knowledge is viewed more as accumulating in storage containers, than as practical aid in daily living. The Holy Spirit’s expertise is not limited to any one topic; He is the cosmic specialist on all things divine and human. He is the perfect partner in the Rethink Tank, because He is the ultimate thought synthesizer.
