As I start writing this blog, there are 15 days, 14 hours, 4 minutes, and 55 seconds till Christmas. Paul told the believers at Colossae to, “Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of EVERY opportunity.” Colossians 4:5 (NIV) Over the next couple weeks, we have a unique opportunity to share the gospel and express the love of Jesus. The genuine, undeniable foundation of Christmas is a celebration of the coming of our Savior. I challenge you to intentionally take time to prep for potential encounters where you will have an opportunity to witness or testify to others. Prayerfully consider possible responses to Christmas carols, greetings, decorations, traditions, or comments of any type. Let’s take advantage of this season in which the incarnation of Jesus is at least on the radar of most people. Work on a thoughtful, positive, compassionate response to the commercialization of Christmas. Be equipped for and alert to any opportunity to share your faith, even in small ways. Have fun and be creative for the next 15 days, 13 hours, 7 minutes and 7 seconds.
