Have you ever been STUCK? Tires-spinning, have-to-call-for-help STUCK? Once, we go a huge U-Haul truck STUCK in a field near the house while moving. Sunk-into-the-frame STUCK. On another occasion, we went into a side-ways, slow-motion an icy gravel road near Sandwich, Illinois until we plunged into into a snow filled ditch. We were hopelessly STUCK on a pitch black night in the boonies. Generally, we would all agree that being STUCK is not a good thing.
It is Thanksgiving Day. This is a day to direct out focus in the right direction. Look not to what you do not have, but gratefully remember what you do have. This is not a day for recalling all you lack, but a day to count your many blessings. Get bogged down in awareness of the goodness of the Lord today. Sink into the quagmire of His grace and mercy. Get unrecoverably STUCK in gratitude for the Father’s kind-heartedness, today. Then, stay STUCK the other 364 days of the year.
