In November of 2004, River of Life Christian Center was given the former East Texas Medical Center Hospital in Rusk, Texas. At that time, the Lord told us, “That the facility was originally built to bring healing in the natural, but now He was going to   use it to bring healing in the supernatural.”  Pastor Robert Corbell, then went to be trained and receive an impartation in Spokane, Washington, where Rev. Cal Pierce has  reopen he healing rooms that were originally established in early 1900s by the evangelist John G Lake. It was during those early years, that Spokane was reported to be the healthiest city in America as there were over 100,000 documented healings through the healing room ministry. Since the reopening of the healing rooms, God has again confirmed His word with amazing miracles and healings. The newly formed International Association of Healing Rooms have already trained many directors and has opened 640 healing rooms throughout the world with whom River of Life Christian Center is now affiliated.

The healing rooms are manned by prayer volunteers from various churches. These volunteers are not trained up as great counselors or as a great deliverance ministry, but are trained up to receive the presence of the Holy Spirit and to allow Him to do the work of healing. The key to the healing room prayer ministry is humility and unity so that Holy Spirit can come and do what He wants to do. As individuals come they are met with love, acceptance and forgiveness. Then they are led to one of the healing rooms where two to three prayer volunteers will pray for them. God has brought numerous healings  through the healing room ministry throughout the world and we are looking forward to seeing what God is going to do in East Texas.
